The resort supplies bar-b-ques around the pool and sauna
areas. We used one to cook salmon the other day - Robynne ate it,
and said it was good, but "returned it" later, if you know what
I mean. |

Michael is becoming the expert Gecko catcher. Here is
a large one, caught near the grocery store. We transported it home
and released it. |
|
Today we explored the island's west coast. This is
"Salt Pond Beach" - Linda really liked the calm waters, but the
kids were looking for more surf action. |
|
This is Sara, on the Kekaha Beach shoreline. It is a
very long, winding beach area. |
|
Sara and Robynne splashing in the waves at Kekaha
Beach. This was one place they didn't want to leave, but the best
was still in waiting, further up the coast. |
|
After 5 miles of dirt road, we arrived at "Polihale
Beach" - it is truly a paradise, just at the beginning of the
inaccessible Na Pali coast. The kids declared this best beach on the
island, and they were right. Few people make the trek, but it is
well worth it. |
